WEDDING TERMS + CONDITIONS

TRIALS

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, 48 hours' notice must be given. Failure to do so may mean you will be charged the full cost of the appointment. Trial appointments consist of 1 x hair styling and/or 1 x makeup application only, additional styling may incur additional charges. Please note trials are not available Sundays/Mondays. Saturday is our busiest day for weddings so bookings for trials can be limited on this day. Trial costs are the same as on the day service cost. All trials must be booked online. When you’re ready to book, you can book any available time HERE. If you wish to add a hair styling trial too, please choose the option Wedding Trial as we allocate more time for wedding trials.

BOOKING FEE + FINAL PAYMENTS

A non-refundable booking fee of $150 is required to secure your booking. Your wedding date will not be held or secured without a booking fee. Booking fees are deducted from the final amount and are non-transferable and non-redeemable for any trials or any other services at House of Glamour. However, if upon availability, you reschedule, it will be transferred to your new appointment within a 6-month time frame. Final payment is required at least 1 week prior to the day and can be paid by cash, credit card, or direct deposit. House of Glamour reserves the right to terminate the booking if payment has not been made in the required time.

MINIMUM BOOKING + CONFIRMATION

We certainly can travel to you on your wedding day, however, a minimum of 3 hair and/or makeup services must be booked. If you have less, we can still offer our services in the House of Glamour salon. It is the responsibility of the client to advise of any changes to the number of people booked in for hair and/or makeup services no less than 4 weeks prior to the booking date. If this has not been advised of within the time frame, the client is still liable to pay the full amount of services booked in as listed on your booking form.

CORRECT INFORMATION

We cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions made by our clients on their booking form. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that they have chosen the correct dates and times before confirming their booking. Please note, we do not have access to change any information on the form once it is submitted.

TRAVELING FEE + PARKING

Our travelling fee is calculated on a $100 per hour basis and you will not be charged for the return trip. The trip will be calculated from the House of Glamour salon which is located in Boronia Drive, Southport. Eg Southport to Coolangatta, 40.5km, 32 mins = $53.33. The minimum call-out fee is $20. In the event parking is not free, the client must cover parking costs also.

TRAVEL DISTANCE

We can travel to any location, but please be aware if your location is greater than 1 hour from our salon in Southport, accommodation is required the evening prior to the event, and dinner + breakfast the following morning will be required at a cost to you. If your booking requires an assistant, then their cost will also need to be covered. Please note, the key makeup artist + assistant makeup artist can share one room/accommodation.

INTERSTATE/INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

We can travel to any location in the world, but all travel costs including transport like car hire, parking, flights (which must include checked luggage to accommodate for hair/makeup kit), and transfers must be booked and paid for by the client. Accommodation is required the evening prior to the event, dinner + breakfast the following morning as well as a light lunch will be required at a cost to you.

TIMING + PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

If you require us to start before 7 am, a $50 before-hours fee will be charged. If you have a large bridal party & need to be ready before 12pm an extra makeup artist will be needed and an additional $100 will be charged. Please note that Sundays + public holidays will incur a 15% surcharge.

CANCELATION OF WEDDING + REFUNDS

In the event of a cancellation of your wedding, we must be notified in writing & will not be cancelled until this is received. You may incur cancellation fees:

β€’ 3+ months prior to the date, Nil

β€’ 3 months – 4 weeks prior to the date - 50% of the booked amount listed on your booking form

β€’ 3 weeks & less prior to the day and under, 100% of the booked amount listed on your booking form

Due to potential loss of income from other enquired bookings, no refunds are given on completed services or deposits. If there is something you are unhappy with, it is up to you to advise us whilst in your presence. NO refunds will be given due to the closure of wedding venues, natural disasters or pandemics, instead, if this is the case, you will be able to transfer your deposit to a new date within 12 months.

NON-COMMUNICATION

From time to time we may need to contact you regarding your booking (for example to secure a deposit, full payment, or issues regarding the booking date). It is important to remain available for contact. If we have contacted you via the contact details you have provided, at any time throughout your booking and you do not reply within 7 days, we will assume that you do not wish to maintain your booking with us. Should we not receive a response within this time period, we will advise you in writing (via the email address that you provided) that you have a final 7 days to respond to us. If we don’t receive a response after this period, then unfortunately due to our demand for bookings, your event date will be made available for other people to book. If you become un-contactable in the weeks leading up to your wedding, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and your booking fee will not be refunded.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

House of Glamour is not, under any circumstances responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. The client must give advanced notification if you or any of your wedding parties or group have particular allergies. Should you wish to bring your own product that you are familiar with then we are happy to use this product. House of Glamour reserves the right to refuse service on anyone displaying skin liaisons, cold sores, eye infections, head lice, or someone who has fresh cuts and bruising from any facial or neck surgery. This also includes contagious viral symptoms including but not limited to vomiting, diarrhea, and rashes to ensure the health of our staff and our other clients.

LIABILITY

Children must be supervised on the day and are not to be in the designated service area at any time unless they are having their hair or makeup done and being supervised by an adult. This is for their own safety; we operate electrical equipment and very hot styling tools. We will accept no liability from any claims arising from any children’s injury while in the designated service area. We do ask that you, your guests, or your group do not touch any of our products or equipment. Should you or anyone in your party or group cause our products or equipment to break or become damaged due to unauthorized handling, then you agree to be charged the cost for a replacement.

LEGAL AGREEMENT

When booking with House of Glamour and filling out all required forms, you are legally binding and agreeing to House of Glamours terms and conditions once you pay your booking fee and sign this contract.
